*push*

Sometimes you need a push- creatively. Working on a bouquet for a client that is completely handmade. She is pushing me back to the things I like best- vintagey, muted colors, LOTS of texture, imperfect perfection. Sometimes feedback can take you to creative places you forgot existed.

New stuff, old stuff...

These will be available in KT Jean design's etsy shop:

New handmade flowers, old pages, I love it! The big flower, a hair piece, is made from hand cut, hand ironed pieces of cotton, muslin and 2 types of silk with a freshwater pearl center hidden in it's many petals. The "leaves" are made from the pages of a 1950s copy of "Great religions of the world" and accented with a vintage velvet millinery leaf. The smaller one, a lapel pin, is 2 colors of hand cut, hand ironed midori dupioni silk with a vintage button center, feathers and 2 book "leaves."
