Wedding flowers!

Here are some pictures from a wedding we did a few weeks ago. I loved the look this bride was going for she was very earthy and wanted to incorporate unusual florals into her bouquet. We used poppy pods, amazing variegated white and green ranuculus, ruffled variegated green and white tulips, little gold-y green and silver balls, dusty miller foliage as well as white peonies and hydrangea, thanks to my amazing wholesaler Mayesh I get the best and most beautiful product and thanks to Kym from Ventola photography I have some amazing pictures of it!

Geneva necklaces

These one of a kind hand made dupioni silk, leather and felt necklaces are embellished with freshwater pearls and vintage buttons. I love these and am actually having a hard time parting with them. They will be for sale tomorrow at Hopi elementary and just might make it into my, as of now, defunct etsy shop ;-)

The "Oswald" chair...

It's odd sometimes, the places we find inspiration...my daughter is in an "Oswald" phase right now. Oswald is a cartoon on what used to be the noggin channel. Oswald is a welcome change from regular cartoons, the show's overall pace is slow and calm, in the same vein as "Little bear"- all you Moms and Dads know what I'm talking about right? Oswald is a blue octopus with very odd little friends. So this chair is dedicated to Oswald who helps to bring an air of clam and peace to our house.

It is a new chair that has been custom painted with washable fabric paint. The seat cover is removeable for easy cleaning, but you still need to hand wash or dry clean it. The eyes are made of felt and vintage buttons. Oh yeah, this chair will be for sale at the Hopi elementary craft fair tomorrow, but if you want to reserve it now call me- 602-944-0585.

more stuff in my house...

Trying to get inspired again- practicing my styling skillz too. Random things always seem to inspire me- stuff we collect in the woods now housed in dust free jars. Collections of monsters- the middle pink one is Shelley one of fellow crafter Jannine Doto's creations I wanted to buy all of her cute vintage inspired creations. Sticks my daughter finds embellished with feather butterflies and ceramic bowls from France, window sills crowded with jelly jars, pots and herbs from the garden...
