Love this movie (just released on DVD) and all the outfits Zooey D. wears. I want all of her clothes. Tulle just happens to be a great online source for inexpensive vintage inspired clothes. Check out their highwaist pants and pencil skirts and mod little dresses.

This christmas my talented and knowing husband gave me his heart- a hand made heart! He even made the little yoyo flower himself- he's been watching me work too much! He also got me a great cd- Nellie McKay "Normal as blueberry pie" she sings great songs from the 50s that will inspire and make you feel like having a tom collins or whatever they drink on Mad men...

I sometimes put in a movie while I work on my creations and this week I re-watched "Finding neverland" I was so inspired by the costumes on this film and the general reverence for adornment that was so prevalent in the Victorian age. I decided to create a line that includes rich jewel tones and the lush fabrics of the age- silks, taffetas and satin decorated with delicate pearls and vintage buttons. Here is the first necklace of the collection- modern bib style with satin bows. It is available in the etsy store and I'll be busy making other creations with these lovely little flowers.
