Awesome Alisha!
My friend and contract designer Alisha helped create the centerpieces for the final wedding for the weekend. She is especially wonderful at creating very detailed and charming boutonieres and corsages. Thanks for all your hard work Alisha!

A Bright table...
Labels:

If you are planning a wedding the place to check out for the cutest ideas and helpful planning is Bright event gallery in old town Scottsdale. This is the table Jolie Jour Flowers did for their March/April display. Twirl provided the cute dress in the background they have the most current trends in wedding fashion. Super versatile Lydia of Paperjoy created 4 flawless paper looks, invites, menus and table numbers. Thanks to Keith Pitts photography for the fantastic photos, be sure to check out his gorgeous website! And of course Tri-rentals definitely a wonderful source for all your linen and tableware needs.
Each of the little vases around the large one is also a favor that each guest can take home. There is a name tag and you could customize it with a message, poem or thank you to your guests. The candle wall arch is fantastic for a ceremony area, frame for a sweetheart table or dramatic backdrop for your cake. The ladies at Bright had tons of creative ideas for it!

Passover feast

Now, I'm not Jewish, but Matzo's definitely hold a special place in my heart. Ever since I was a little girl I knew when Passover was because my Mom would always make me Matzo's slathered with butter and honey. She inherited this tradition from my Grandmother who grew up in the Bronx in the 30s and had many Jewish friends later in life when she moved to the Philippines, she befriended the large community of German and Austrian Jews who escaped to the Philippines during WWII. As I was relishing a bite of this delicious treat the other day I realized it has become something of a tradition among the women of our family to eat this (kind of an unusual snack for a typical Filipino-American family), it is interesting what we pass down to our children and what links us with the past. It is nice to think even this small thing will someday connect Emma with her Great-Grandma Geraldine. If you haven't tried this combination before you should pick up a box and try it!
