I was recently in Anthropologie, for those of you who know me- my favorite store of all time! And they had these fabulous flapper-esque headbands that I was totally lusting after. I couldn't shake the feeling though, that $42 for a head band was a bit outrageous, it is, sorry Anthro! And I really felt like they would be simple enough to make...so I did. They are available in my etsy store for anyone who's interested, oh, and these are made with a celadon colored midori raw silk from Japan.

Giving back
Labels:
company with morals,
giving,
kindness

If only all businesses would take the time and resources to give back the way Toms shoes does. I love this company's philosophy and they make cute comfy shoes for the whole family (except your husband will probably refuse to wear them, sigh.) Wish the whole world would give love like this!!!

Girls night!

There were some sore feet that night!

At the W hotel in scottsdale

A limo full of hot moms!
I had the best time with my girlfriends last Friday night. Kym from Ventola Photography put together an amazing night complete with limo service, hair, make-up and photography. We had a blast! Our girls night was a Mom's night out, but this is a great way to do one last girls night out before the big day! Kym is one smart cookie and cute too! Check out the "night out" packages she can put together for your crew.

Are we in France yet???
Labels:

These containers would look great in this venue!
Do you ever wish you could steal away to the south of france and have a lazy brunch sipping mimosas and eating well prepared organic foods? You can! Arcadia Farms in Scottsdale is such a charming little piece of the dream right here in the valley- just ignore that little plaque behind us that says "Bienvenidos a Arcadia farms" and pretend it reads "Bienvenue a Provence". We recently took our friends Seth and Amanda (also francophiles) and pretended to be away from it all. This place would make a lovely venue for an intimate lunch wedding or as the day after family brunch site. I also dream of hosting a Mom's brunch here with an open bar on Mimosas!

Kid's music that won't make you die inside...
Labels:
good kids music

Aaron and I are always in search of good kids music, the kind that will inspire a young mind to maybe dance to a different beat, you know, create and form a little artistic brain. We've found some good stuff like Dan Zanes, the standard Jack Johnson, Lisa Loeb has a great kids album and our latest find- Frances England is so good you'd probably listen to it on the way to the grocery store without your kid(s) in the back seat. Check her out...
